Who can apply for this insurance?
Students, international or Spanish, who are going to study in Spain: university, master's, vocational training, academy, language school or exchange. You need a passport or NIE and a student certificate (enrolment or certificate from your institution).
Is it valid for the student visa or residence permit?
Many visa and study-residence procedures require private health insurance in Spain. Tell us your case when you send the application and we will confirm, before you commit to anything, whether the chosen plan and cover meet the requirements of your procedure.
How much does it cost?
The premium depends on the length (6 or 12 months) and the optional cover you choose. You pay nothing with the application: we email you the proposal with the exact price and terms, and you only take out the policy if it suits you.
When does cover start?
On the start date you indicate in the application, once ASISA has accepted the application, the policy has been issued and payment has been made. We recommend applying a few days in advance.
Why is there a health questionnaire?
It is compulsory so that ASISA can assess the application. Depending on the answers, ASISA may accept it, apply particular conditions or decline it. It is important to answer truthfully: omitting or misstating information may affect the validity of the policy.
What happens to my data and documents?
They are used only to manage your application. The application and documents are recorded directly in the systems of Solivesa Master Franchise, S.L.U. (ASISA's exclusive agent), which passes them to ASISA; Studay keeps no copy of your documents. Health data is processed with your explicit consent. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Is Studay an insurer?
No. Studay App S.L. acts as an external collaborator (sub-agent) of Solivesa Master Franchise, S.L.U., exclusive insurance agent of ASISA. The policy is issued by ASISA (Asistencia Sanitaria Interprovincial, S.A.U.). Studay supports you through the application and the process.
Can I cancel?
Before taking out the policy there is no commitment at all. Once taken out, the cancellation and refund terms are those set out in the ASISA policy, which we send you together with the proposal.
